M P Joseph IAS

Mr. Joseph began his career in the IAS winning the prestigious Reenu Sandhu Gold Medal of the 1978 batch from the Lal Bahadur Sasthri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, and receiving it from Dr. P.S. Appu IAS, its renowned Director.  Joseph had an illustrious career in the IAS Kerala Cadre starting his career in the state as Sub Collector Trichur and later moving on as District Collector, Ernakulum, where he also concurrently held charge as Mayor of the Corporation of Cochin for 2 ½ years. Later he was Labour Commissioner, Kerala, for the longest ever period for any Labour Commissioner in the state.
